7, 1832, Jacksonville Illinois Patriot (this issue is not extant), according to Charles
M. Eames's Historic Morgan and Classic Jacksonville (Jacksonville, 111.: Daily
Journal Printing Office, 1885). The Springfield Sangamo Journal acknowledged
receipt of an "extra of the 26th inst." in its May 31, 1832, issue, and the
Edwardsville Illinois Advocate acknowledged receipt of "a scrap from the '
Beardstown Chronicle'" in its June 5, 1832, issue. The newspaper apparently
was short-lived.
